However, I have had 2 significant problems to date. 1. On a single door (kitchen to garage - a "Smart Lock" design deal with), the internal spring-mechanism failed after only two weeks. It had been nearly impossible to get the home available - it needed me accessing both sides of this door in order to get it open and repaired (thank heavens I becamen't locked in a closet). When I got the whole lot apart, it had been plainly the failure of cheap stamped-metal parts. 2. On another home, the lever continued (by loosening and then retightening the allen screw) but i'm finding it impossible to now get the handle off. Hope I never need to replace or fix the handle once more - otherwise out comes the hacksaw. In addition, my in-laws re-did their property too with the exact same brand name. They had something similar take place on 1 door to date. I would personally be cautious with this particular brand. Perhaps a greater high quality brand would-be less failure prone. In any event, save-all your old equipment because you never know in the event that youwill need to scavenge an item. January 9, 2015
